Patrick A. Kelsey, President

Alongside providing solutions to Georgia’s arts and culture organizations, he also serves as a Professor of Business at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
He has worked as Managing Director and Development Director for Off-Broadway’s Irish Repertory Theatre, General Manager of Broadway’s Lyric Theatre, and Director of Operations for what is known today as Broadway Across America.
He holds a BS in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management and Technical Theatre from Ball State University, an MFA in Theatre Management & Producing from Columbia University, and an MBA from Nyack College.
Patrick has served as a grant panelist for the Nancy Quinn Grant for ART/NY, Georgia Council for the Arts, South Arts, and the City of Savannah.
Patrick is an avid arts advocate. He founded and served as chief executive of Georgians for the Arts, the official member of Americans for the Arts’ State Arts Action Network, and the Creative States Coalition. Patrick also founded the Friends of Georgians for the Arts. Finally, he led the Arts and Culture Alliance of Chatham County as founder and executive director.
He served as Georgia’s state captain for Americans for the Arts’ National Arts Action Summit and Chair for the City of Savannah Cultural Affairs Commission.
Patrick lives in Savannah with his wife, Tara, and his artistically talented daughter, Eliza, and two cats, Klang and Cocoa. If not in the classroom, he also envisions himself as a successful gardener.
